Averie started her career as an NBC Page working on THE TONIGHT SHOW. During her time at NBCUniversal, she earned the coveted assignment of Primetime Programming & Studios Development, where she worked on THE OFFICE, PARKS & RECREATION, PARENTHOOD, and FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS. She was also the first page hired for Conan O’Brien when his show moved to LA.

Later, she joined Amy Pascal’s company as a CE, where she brought in BENEATH A SCARLET SKY – the #1 Most Read and #2 Most Bought Book on Amazon in 2016 – and attached Tom Holland to star. She also worked on multiple features including Greta Gerwig’s LITTLE WOMEN and Paul Feig’s GHOSTBUSTERS.

After PPI, she went to BOOM! Studios, where she ran TV and set up over 20 projects. She was instrumental in selling BOOM!’s first ever TV series at Disney+, JUST BEYOND, based on the RL Stine graphic novel of the same name. She also helped develop and staff MECH CADET at Netflix, which was Top 10 on the platform in October 2023. Other projects included JOYRIDE with Sera Gamble, John McNamara, and David Reed (FX), THE SPIRE with Gemma Holdway (Roku), BUTTERFLY with Arash Amel (Amazon), and BONE PARISH with Akela Cooper (MRC).

In 2020, she went to run Mandy Moore’s company, Roll With The Punches, where. she built out the slate to include TWIN FLAMES with Rebecca Adelmann (Peacock), LILI’UOKALANI with Shannon Goss Schwartz, Dana Ledoux Miller, and Destin Daniel Cretton (Onyx), FALLING FOR DANGER with Melinda Hsu (ABC Signature), and MY MOM HAS NO FRIENDS with Monica Corcoran-Harel and Daisy Gardner (20th).

In 2025, Averie started her own production company, Humble Sandwich, that currently has projects with HBO Max and CBS Studios.

Averie grew up in Costa Mesa, CA and is proudly hapa Kanaka Maoli. She has been on the board of Pasifika Entertainment Advancement Komiti since its creation in 2022 and is currently the Interim Executive Director. She’s also been a board member of Off the Page since 2020, on the Investment Advisory Board of the Inevitable Foundation since 2023, and was an LA Committee Chair of the Arthritis Foundation. She has done mentorships for Women in Film, Reel Champions, Film2Future, Outfest, PEAK and HRTS; and spoken on multiple panels for WME, CAA, CAPE, UCLA, USC, and GLAAD.

She lives with her partner in Highland Park, and in her free time, she teaches people how to repair purses on TikTok and fosters dogs whenever Roofus, her curmudgeonly 14-year-old terrier, will allow.
